Katie Price forced to deny husband Lee Andrews is detained in Dubai during Good Morning Britain appearance

Former glamour model Katie Price was forced to defend her husband live on morning television after he failed to appear alongside her for a scheduled appearance.

Price, 47, married Lee Andrews, 43, in January, just weeks after they met, and they were due to discuss their relationship together on Good Morning Britain.

However, Andrews – who lives in Dubai – never made it to the appearance, forcing Price to deny reports he had been detained in the United Arab Emirates.

Following their whirlwind marriage, British media reports said Andrews was banned from leaving Dubai after allegedly forging his ex-girlfriend’s signature to secure a $374,000 loan.

As Price, who initially became famous under the pseudonym Jordan, sat on the GMB couch, presenters Susanna Reid and Ed Balls said they had contacted the UK Foreign Office and were informed it had “supported a British man detained in the United Arab Emirates”.

The mother-of-five said Andrews had confirmed to her that the man was not him.

“He’s just sent me pictures, he’s now at the airport, he’s on his way,” she said.

She said he was flying in from Muscat, Oman, after finishing up some business.

Balls asked Price if Andrews was “unreliable”.

“No, not to me he hasn’t been. Not at all,” she said.

She said that after much time in Dubai, she told Andrews her work and children meant he needed to spend more time in England and that was their plan for the future.

Andrews is Price’s fourth husband.

They tied the knot just one day after their engagement, and weeks after first meeting.

Ever since, speculation around Andrews has intensified.

In February, the Daily Mail reported he spent time in custody in a Dubai prison just months before proposing for the alleged signature forgery.

Price was previously married to British-Australian musician Peter Andre from 2005 to 2009 and shares two children, Junior, 20, and Princess, 18, with him.

Price was also previously married to Alex Reid and Kieran Hayler, the father of her two youngest children, Jett, 12, and Bunny, 11.

She welcomed her eldest son, 24-year-old Harvey, with former footballer Dwight Yorke, though Yorke is not involved in his life.

She was also previously engaged eight times before meeting Andrews, including to Warren Furman, Scott Sullivan, Leandro Penna, Kris Boyson and Carl Woods, though these relationships didn’t lead to marriage.
