Hyderabad: Mild earthquake struck Ongole on Friday night triggering panic among residents.
Locals said that the effects of the tremors were felt especially in Deva Cheruvu, Nellore Bus Stand and Mangopalem. People were panicked as the ground shook suddenly.
Many people ran out of their homes as the fans and windows in their houses shook slightly for some time. However, there is no information about any loss of life or property so far. Locals have informed the authorities about the earthquake. The authorities are collecting details on the extent of the intensity of the tremors.
