All eyes might have been on Daria Kasatkina when she hit the court on day two of Wimbledon, but the Aussie player was star-struck by someone in the crowd.

Kasatkina – who triumphed over Emiliana Arango – and her fiancee Natalia Zabiiako were lucky enough to encounter fellow Aussie icon Cate Blanchett, who had been enjoying all the Wimbledon action from the comfort of the Royal Box.

It was particularly exciting for Zabiiako, who happens to be a huge fan of the Carol star.

“She’s her number one, not just actress, but celebrity. She’s her biggest fan,” Kasatkina told Nine.

After spotting Blanchett filling up her water, the tennis star remarked to her fiancee, “No way, did you see that?”

When Zabiiako replied, “What?” she said, “That was Cate Blanchett, you idiot.”

The couple “ran after” Blanchett after spotting her, with the trio posing for a selfie.

“She was super nice … I saved Natasha’s dream.”
