Oscars 2026: Leonardo DiCaprio’s rare public appearance with girlfriend Vittoria Ceretti

Leonardo DiCaprio didn’t win an Oscar – but he certainly didn’t leave empty handed from the 2026 award show.

The Wolf of Wall Street star seldom brings a date to the Academy Awards, but this year brought something new and we’re not talking about the moustache.

DiCaprio, 51, walked the red carpet solo at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles before joining model Vittoria Ceretti, inside the ceremony.

The Italian model, 27, attended the Academy Awards for the first time, wearing a striking red gown as she took her seat next to her man.

Though it wasn’t just the rare public appearance with his girlfriend that had people doing a double take.

DiCaprio also unveiled a noticeable new look – a moustache – a departure from the clean-shaven style he’s largely stuck to in recent years.

He paired five o’clock shadow moustache combo with a classic black tuxedo and bow tie, finishing the look with a small gold bee brooch pinned to his lapel – no doubt a nod to his long-running interest in bee and pollinator conservation.

The outing marked an unusual moment for the famously private actor, who has historically kept his relationships well away from the glare of awards season.

In fact, DiCaprio has only brought romantic partners to the Academy Awards a handful of times.

His last public Oscars date came in 2020, when he attended the ceremony while dating model and actor Camila Morrone.

The pair posed separately on the red carpet but were later seen sitting together in the front row.

Before that, DiCaprio attended the Oscars with then-girlfriend Gisele Bündchen in 2005, when he was nominated for Best Actor for The Aviator – one of the few occasions he has actually been photographed with a partner on the red carpet.

In recent years, the Wolf of Wall Street star has more often opted to bring his mother, Irmelin Indenbirken, to major awards ceremonies.

They appeared together earlier this year at both the Golden Globe Awards and the BAFTAs.

DiCaprio was nominated for Best Actor at this year’s ceremony for his role in One Battle After Another.

The film entered the night with 13 nominations and had already secured several major wins during the broadcast, including Best Adapted Screenplay for Paul Thomas Anderson, Best Supporting Actor for Sean Penn and Best Casting.
