Millions of fans saw the video, sparking mass concern for his well-being.

Among the people who saw the video was his co-star, Daniel Curtis Lee, who played ‘Cookie’ Nelson-Cook in 54 episodes.

He decided to try and find Chase in order to try and help him get his life back on track, and eventually he tracked him down.

On Wednesday AEST, Lee made a video updating fans about Chase’s situation, saying comedian and actor Shaun Weiss had “put a lot of effort” into trying to get the actor into a hospital, but they couldn’t get Chase to go.

“I wanted to give you an update,” Lee says as the video starts. “I thought it worked [and he was in hospital], but he backed out, so today I went to get pizza with him.

“They couldn’t get him into a car last night, which is why they couldn’t get [Chase] into a hospital.”

However, Lee was able to get him into a car, saying Chase “trusted an old friend,” so he took him to a hotel and paid for his stay.

“It’s a holiday season, it’s raining out, I just wanted him to have at least basic accommodation,” Lee says in the video.

As the former child star looks around the room, Lee begins encouraging him, giving him a hug and saying he’ll help him with treating his addiction.

“I’m gonna come back and try and talk about getting the situation squared away, so we can do the rehab and whatever we need to okay?” he says.

“OK, thank you so much,” Chase said while embracing Lee.

“I believe in you, and we’re going to win, all we gotta do is stay with it and keep working,” Lee continues in the heartbreaking footage.

Lee also set up a FaceTime call with Chase and Ned’s Declassified lead actor Devon Werkheiser, who also commented his support under the video.

Lee also said he had spoken to Chase’s mum and dad, putting Chase on a phone call with his father, which boosted his spirits.

He said he didn’t give the former child star cash because Chase’s mother warned him that it “might be dangerous” to do so.

It’s unclear how long Chase has been on the streets for.
