Miranda Kerr shows support for Katy Perry after Orlando Bloom split


Australian supermodel Miranda Kerr has made a subtle nod in support of Katy Perry after the singer’s split from her long-term partner, Orlando Bloom.

Perry and Bloom – who was previously married to Kerr – announced their separation just weeks after the Firework singer headed Down Under for the Australian leg of her Lifetimes Tour.

They were together for nearly a decade and had a four-year-old daughter Daisy Dove.

Kerr took to Instagram yesterday, posting a picture and video of herself at Perry’s concert with the caption “summer recently.”

One Instagram user commented under the post that it was “refreshing to see ladies supporting each other, especially in blended family situations.”

The Victoria’s Secret model was with Bloom for six years, with the pair marrying in 2010.

They had their son Flynn Christopher Blachard Copeland Bloom, within the year, before splitting up in 2013.

Kerr and Bloom also have a child together, making Perry’s child and Kerr’s child half-siblings.

Kerr and Perry have always had a warm friendly relationship, with little to no reports of any issues or feuds between the two.

They often speak highly of each other in public interviews and have appeared at events together.

Bloom and Perry started dating in 2016 and were engaged in 2019, they had Daisy Dove in 2020, but never tied the knot.

Breakup rumours between the pair first started swirling on June 13, after a source told People Magazine the couple were “pretty much done” and the relationship had “broken down” over the past few months.

Bloom then joined Katy Perry in Australia one week later, contradicting the breakup rumours.

Just two days later, on June 24 reports started swirling that Bloom would be attending Amazon founder and billionaire Jeff Bezos’s Venice wedding “as a single man,” further fuelling the rumours.

On June 26 the couple released a joint statement announcing they had split.

The statement released to US media outlets said the couple “have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on co-parenting”.

“They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is – and always will be – raising their daughter with love, stability and mutual respect.”

Eagle-eyed fans spotted Perry having dinner with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau just yesterday.
