Lily Collins pays tribute to rocker father Phil Collins as they spend time together on his 75th birthday amid his health issues


Lily Collins has paid an emotional tribute to her rocker and drummer dad Phil Collins amid his health issues.

The Emily in Paris star, 36, shared a series of rare pictures of herself with her dad on Instagram to her millions of followers, revealing she feels “grateful” to get to celebrate his 75th birthday together.

It comes after it was revealed the In The Air Tonight hitmaker now has a “24-hour live-in nurse” to help him.

“Yesterday Dad turned 75 and I feel so grateful to have celebrated together,” she wrote in her post.

“For all you’ve accomplished, all the joy you’ve brought so many all over the world for ALL these years, all the lessons we’ve learned, all the memories we’ve shared, and all the new ones to come, thank you.”

“I count myself so lucky to have hugged you, laughed with you, and reminisced with you on such a monumental day.

“Proud is an understatement. Love you to the moon and back again…”

Her post alone got more than 1.4million likes.

In the images, the pair beam for selfies together and one shot included Polaroids they had taken together.

It comes after the iconic musician spoke about his health on the BBC Era’s podcast.

During the chat, he revealed he has “a 24-hour live-in nurse”.

“It’s an ongoing thing,” he said.

“I have a 24-hour live-in nurse to make sure I take my medication as I should do. I’ve had challenges with my knee. I had everything that could go wrong with me, did go wrong with me.”

“I got COVID in hospital. My kidneys started to back up. Everything seemed to converge at the same time.”

The Genesis rocker previously suffered a neck injury while on tour and previously told The Independent he has Type 2 Diabetes.
