Jessie J hospitalised after hitting head on car roof and thought she broke her neck
Jessie J has found herself in hospital after slamming her head on the roof of her car, believing she had broken her neck.
In a video shared on her social media account, the 37-year-old singer whose real name is Jessica Ellen Cornish, shared how the series of events went down in Hangzhou, China, amid her ongoing No Secrets Tour.
The pop star, who has been battling breast cancer, started the clip “squashing” in the back of a black van.

The video then cuts to the singer in hospital undergoing an MRI scan.
“Yeah, I just can’t move my head. I’m alright, I’ll just have to take some painkillers and march right through it. I just wanna kinda run down the show,” she was seen telling her crew during rehearsals.
“I thought I broke my neck, but I haven’t. But I have really hurt my neck and my back. Don’t say it,” she said, before the video showed more of the backstage experience.

The singer joked in the caption of the video, “Hit my head 😂😩🥴, I should [have] minded squashing in the back.”
Her fans were quick to share their well-wishes in the comment section, with one exclaiming, ”Bloody hell Jess, you’re a liability [aren’t] you babe! Hope your neck and back are feeling better, rest up where you can.”
Another fan who attended her concert pointed out, “and yet nobody noticed until you told us you hurt yourself!! POPSTARRRR mode was activated.”
“Feel better soon girl,” one fan wished the star, “you are such a vibe even if you are in pain, such an awesome human being.”
Jessie J has been candid about her recent health struggles, revealing she’d been diagnosed with early stage breast cancer last June.
The singer went on to openly document her treatment via social media, detailing the highs and lows of the journey towards becoming cancer-free.

She shared that she’d undergone a mastectomy post-diagnosis, and had also had a stint in hospital for a suspected blood clot in her lungs.
Speaking to The Times, Jessie J shared more insight into her procedure and her results.
“I was able to keep my nipple but it’s all numb now. And when I bend down it looks like I’ve got a plastic carrier bag in my boob because you can see the wrinkles,” she said.
The singer shared that while the first surgery was successful, she’s set to undergo a second, this time focussing on breast reconstruction and further treatment.
