Emmys 2025: All the most memorable moments from the 77th Emmy Awards as they happened | Winners, results, surprises and highlights
Television’s annual night of nights has come around yet again.
The Primetime Emmy Awards is back for the 77th iteration and some of the industry’s biggest stars have begun to descend on the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles.
The event will see some of the best in TV across acting, writing, directing and more claim one of those coveted golden statuettes.

Among the nominations, Ben Stiller’s thriller Severance is ahead of the rest with a total of 27 nominations.
The red carpet has officially kicked off and the much-anticipated ceremony is set to start around 10am (AEST).

A Gilmore Girls reunion
One for the Gilmore Girls fans.
The popular sitcoms lead actresses Alexis Bledel and Lauren Graham took to the stage for a heartwarming Gilmore Girls reunion.
They stood on a set designed like the famous front porch of the popular show as they addressed the show’s popularity among it’s loyal fanbase in their speech.

Graham joked that the show “apparently took the season of fall hostage”, inspiring laughter from the audience.
They then went on to address the show’s limited budget.
“We had no money, nothing,” they joked.
“We saved up all year long to have one snow episode,” Bledel added in jest.
“And then ER would wet down their street and wash it all away,” Graham added.
Prior to their on-stage presentation the actresses posed together on the red carpet.
Alexis Bledel opted for a sparkling silver dress by Marmar Halim while Graham wore a semi-sheer gown with a floral motif.
Actor makes Emmys history
Owen Cooper has become the youngest-ever male to win an Emmy award for his performance in the Netflix original series Adolesence.
The 15-year-old was became emotional as he took to the stage to accept the record-breaking honour, accepting the Emmy for Best Supporting Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie.

“When I started these drama classes I didn’t expect to be in the United States, nevermind here,’ he joked as he began his acceptance speech.
“You can acheive anything in life, I was nothing about three years ago and I’m here now now.
“If you listen and you focus and you just step out of your comfort zone, anything is possible.”
His mum sat in the audience and beamed with pride as he spoke.
Cooper acted in the widely-successful TV series where each episode of which was filmed in one shot.
He also proceeded to shout out the creative team “behind the camera”.
The record for youngest-ever Emmy winner is held by actress Roxana Zal.
Actor claims another win
Not long after accepting the first award of the night, Rogan was back up on stage to accept the Emmy for Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series.
Rogan, who co-directed The Studio, took to the stage with his collaborator Evan Goldberg to accept the award.
“Thank you to our cast and crew without whom obviously this would all not be possible,” he said.
Goldberg then proceeded to shout out his wife Lisa.
TV show’s second consecutive win
Popular reality TV show The Traitors has claimed the Emmy for Best Reality Competition Program for the second year in a row.
Members of the cast and crew walked up to the stage to accept the coveted golden statuette.
The show’s beloved host Alan Cumming addressed the crowd and the audience members watching from home with gratitude.
“Thanks to everyone who has Traitors parties and dress up like me,” he added noting the show’s devoted fan base.
“It’s a difficult time we live in but its so great that we get to bring a bit of joy into your life,” he continued. “Thank you so much.”
Leading TV show claims first Emmy
With 28 nominations this awards ceremony, eyes have been on the popular thriller Severance.
The TV show has just claimed its first win of the night with Tramell Tillman taking home the Emmy for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.
It’s the first Emmy win for the actor.
Taking to the stage to accept his award, he made an emotional tribute to his mother who sat in the audience.
”My first acting coach was tough y’all but all mothers are,” he said to the audience.
“Mama you were there for me when noone else was and no one else showed up. Your loving kindness stays with me and this is for you,” he said as he address his mum in the audience.
Severance soon after claimed it’s second Emmy of the night with Britt Lower claiming the Emmy for Best Lead Actress in a Drama Series.
First winner of the night
The Emmy Awards have officially kicked off, and we have our first Emmy win of the evening.
The Emmy for lead actor in a comedy series has been awarded to Seth Rogan for his role in The Studio.
Taking to the stage Rogan appeared equal parts shocked and excited.
As he accepted the award he gave a shoutout to his wife Lauren Miller as well as his mother and “everyone who works on the show”.
“I don’t know what to say this is so nice,” he said, wrapping up his brief thank you speech.
Selena’s romantic red carpet appearance
Selena Gomez has arrived and she’s a vision in red.
The actress and musician, who stars in the TV show Only Murders In The Building walked the red carpet with her fiance Benny Blanco by her side.
Blanco, who proposed to Gomez with a giant sparkler late last year, appeared to be glowing with pride for his fiancee as they posed for photos together.
He even planted a kiss on Gomez’ cheek as cameras flashed.

Gomez took to Instagram last December to announce that Blanco had popped the question.
She posted a carousel of sweet photos showing off her stunning new ring writing, “forever begins now”.
Stars assemble on the red carpet
The red carpet is officially underway with some big names starting to pour in.
Ben Stiller, who is the director and executive producer of Severance which boasts more than two dozen nominations, has arrived.
He has been joined by his wife Christine Taylor. The pair both matched in black as they posed for photos on the red carpet.
The pair have been married since 2000 but experienced a brief split, separating in 2017 before reuniting during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter earlier this year, Stiller admitted that, “there was a part of [him] that wasn’t ready to just give up on it [their relationship]”.
He also spoke to The New York Times about the split revealing: ”When we separated, it was just having space to see what our relationship was, what my life felt like when we weren’t in that relationship, how much I loved our family unit.”
“It was like three or four years that we weren’t together but we always were connected.
“In my mind, I never didn’t want us to be together.”
Stiller’s much-ancitipated arrival comes as many other A-Listers arrive at the event.
The White Lotus star Walton Goggins was among the first to arrive alongside his wife Nadia Conners. His co-star Jason Isaacs has also arrived at the event.
Other actors including The Bold Type actress Meghann Fahy and English actress Gwendoline Christie are also among the recent arrivals.

Seating the stars
They are yet to enter the venue but we have already had an insight into which stars will be seated where for TV’s night of nights.
A short tour of the high-profile seating chart was shared by The Hollywood Reporter with the names and photos of the industry’s biggest stars placed on seats inside the auditorium ahead of the event.
The video suggests that we can expect to see The Last Of Us star and everybody’s internet boyfriend Pedro Pascal up front and centre for the event.
Nobody Wants This star Kristen Bell is also expected to sit among the first few rows next to her co-star Adam Brody.
Only Murders In The Building stars and long time best friends Steve Martin and Martin Short are expected to sit next to each other for the event, while their co-star Selena Gomez will sit two rows in front of them among near Jake Gyllenhaal and Aussie star Cate Blanchett.
As the stars arrive for the event we can expect to see those seats filled with some of the world’s biggest stars.
