Bennifer Divorce: Jennifer Lopez takes a swipe at ex-husband Ben Affleck on-stage during Las Vegas residency
When it comes to J.Lo, there are certain names you don’t need to spell out twice.
During a show at her Las Vegas residency over the weekend, Jennifer Lopez pulled a man from the audience to join her and her dancers while on stage.
“Look at this guy… we’re gonna take him for everything he’s got,” she said, before asking his name.

To which he replied, “Ben.”
Lopez, 56, paused, pulled a quick “ugh” face, and laughed as she ushered him behind the curtain.
Suffice to say, the name carries weight.

Lopez filed for divorce from Ben Affleck in August 2024, ending a relationship that had already run one very public course in the early 2000s before being picked up again decades later.
Her latest residency, which wraps at the end of this month, is peppered with anecdotes from her personal life – including her very public relationships.
She previously reflected on her marriage to Marc Anthony during one of her shows, describing the weight of raising young twins while the demands of a global career threatened to pull her under.
“After my third divorce, that’s when I really started getting good at it,” she joked, before the humour dropped.
“Seriously, that’s not funny… it was actually a really tough time. I was really about to give up on it all. I mean, I was a single mom with two three-year-old twins.”
Lopez continued, “I called up one of my mentors. Her name was Louise Hay… she passed away.

“But she said to me, ‘Jennifer, you’re a dancer, right?’ I said, ‘Yes, I am.’
“She said, ‘When you’re learning a dance and you get the steps wrong, what do you do?’ I said, ‘I just keep going until I get the steps right.’ And she said, ‘That’s right, Jennifer. Always keep dancing.'”
The Maid in Manhattan star isn’t shy about opening up about past relationships, on or off stage.

When asked whether she regrets ending her marriage to Affleck, her answer was direct.
“Not one second,” she told Interview Magazine in October 2024.
While she has acknowledged the wreckage of the aftermath, she’s framing the fallout as a necessary pivot.
It was, as she puts it, the turning point that pushed her into her “happy era.”
