Abbie Chatfield and Adam Hyde are one of Australia’s most talked-about couples, but they’re both famous in their right
Abbie Chatfield and Adam Hyde are a match made in heaven that no one saw coming – and now, their relationship is the talk of Australia.
The Gold Coast-born podcast queen, 30, and Canberra-born musician, 35, made headlines the moment their relationship went public in 2024.
But recently, they’ve made headlines for a much darker reason.
Watch the video above.
The couple have proven to be inseparable over the years, with a devoted fanbase of followers considering them the blueprint for healthy relationship dynamics.
However, some unfortunately are not as fond of the loved-up pair.
Hyde recently revealed he’s been the target of violent death threats, as well as threats to be ”bashed” in the street over his relationship.
Speaking on his girlfriend’s podcast It’s a Lot with Abbie Chatfield, the Dancing2 hitmaker discussed the abuse levelled at him in recent times – as well as the very real impact it has had.

“It’s hit a boiling point, and I just felt the need to address it,” he began.
Hyde recalled a terrifying real-life encounter, wherein a car full of passengers in his neighbourhood began yelling threats as they drove past.
“They were screaming homophobic slurs, really really bad words mixed with death threats, bashing threats…” Hyde said.
Despite this recent slew of abusive behaviour, Hyde and Chatfield’s bond remains strong – and it’s been a years-long journey for the pair to forge such a connection.

So let’s take it back to where it all began, four years ago on a radio show.
From the studio to soulmates
The duo first met in 2022 when Chatfield interviewed Hyde for her radio show Hot Nights With Abbie Chatfield but their romance didn’t begin until a year later.
Rumours swirled that something was going on between the pair after they were spotted marching at the National Rally Against Violence Against Women in April 2024.
Hyde and Chatfield confirmed their romance in June that year.
The reality TV star-turned-podcaster shared an open “love letter” to Hyde at the time, writing in one post: “I’m crying looking at these film photos while Adam is playing a gig so pls accept my love letter to Adam as a sign to dump that loser who makes you feel like you aren’t easy to love.”
Abbie and Adam confirm their relationship
Hyde had his own ‘love letter’ to Abbie, when he joined her on her podcast after they revealed they were dating.
“This is me, Adam, talking directly to Abbie about how much I love Abbie,” he said at the time.
“I never saw this coming, but here I am. Abbie, I think you’re so kind and caring and intelligent and incredibly beautiful in a million different ways.”
Chatfield revealed they had been dating for a while but wanted to keep their “little bubble” private.
Stars in their own right
Since her debut on The Bachelor Australia in 2019, Chatfield has transformed into the ultimate multi-hyphenate.
She rose to fame as the runner-up of the series’ seventh season. Then later appeared as a contestant in Season 3 of Bachelor in Paradise Australia.
After winning I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2021, the star became a household name. She hosted Love Island Afterparty Australia and joined the panel for The Masked Singer Australia in 2022.
In fact, 2022 was a big year for Chatfield.
She announced her hosting gig for reality series FBoy Island Australia, and began hosting her own national radio show Hot Nights with Abbie Chatfield on the Hit Network.
She quit her radio show in 2023, saying the job was “taxing” and “very exhausting”. She decided to instead focus on her podcast.
Chatfield credits her podcast It’s A Lot to “starting [her] media career”.
Launching in March 2020, with 631 episodes and counting, It’s A Lot has become a platform for Chatfield to speak out about her stance on politics, feminism and more.
Before he was ‘Keli Holiday’, Hyde was one half of electronic duo Peking Duk responsible for some of Australia’s biggest party anthems including ‘High’ and ‘Stranger’.
The duo have won multiple ARIA Awards and have headlined music festivals across the nation.
In 2021, the Peking Duk musician launched his solo project under the name Keli Holiday.
His 2025 hit single Dancing2 was inspired by his romance with Chatfield.
The song went on to win an ARIA Award for Best Video was voted number 2 on Triple J’s Hottest 100 of 2025.
“It’s about meeting a love that seemed a world away,” he told Rolling Stone.
“I really want to thank Abbie, my beautiful Abbie, because without her, this song would not exist at all,” he said while accepting his first solo ARIA Award on stage.
Today, the pair are one of Australia’s certified ’it couples’ – and undoubtedly will be for years to come.
